Within the Kollaroids series of handmade collages, a new series developed organically: Zephyroids: collages about the wind lifting things up, throwing things down and not blowing at all. They are made from paper, so they fly away in gusty winds. Inspiration came from Japanese woodcuts, anime and autumn walks. My intention is a feeling of lightness, using cut up architectural elements. You can find a few under the Collagework tab.
Yesterday I had the honour of receiving the third price for the triennial collage competition organized by the Andrée en Pierre Arty Foundation. This foundation promotes the work of Andrée Arty, a wonderful Belgian collage artist as well as the works of contemporary collage artists. The price money will be used for promotion and framing of the works.

I added a new section to the website: Collages. It contains - as you probably guessed - my collage work, all done the old-fashioned way with paper, scissors and glue. I call them Kollaroids - which is a combination of Colle (glue) and Polaroids.
